The Three Jewels: An Introduction to Buddhism Course

Mondays 6.45 – 9pm on 4, 11, 25 February and 4, 11 March
Finishing with a Day Retreat Sat 16 March 10am – 4pm

Join us for five Monday evenings and a Saturday day retreat exploring the theme of the Three Jewels.

The Three Jewels are living symbols, supreme objects of commitment and devotion in the life of every Buddhist.

The Buddha Jewel: symbol of Enlightenment, particularly as embodied in Siddhartha Gautama, the man who discovered the path to human perfection.

The Dharma Jewel: symbol of the Path itself, a host of insights and practical guidelines that help the individual plot a course towards Enlightenment.

The Sangha Jewel: symbol of the fellowship enjoyed between those whose lives are based on the quest for Enlightenment.

To understand the Three Jewels is to understand the central ideals and principles of Buddhism. To have some insight into them is to touch its very heart.

Led by Ratnadaka and Saddhavijaya – all are welcome and no prior experience is required.  This short course offers an excellent introduction to Buddhism or an opportunity to refresh and revitalise your practice.
